DescriptionFinial or image of the Seven Buddhas of the Past - the three right-hand Buddhas remaining, the central and left three Buddhas lost through breakage.  Above a tenon for attachment, a frond-ornamented stem divides into two main branches from which rise seven smaller lotus stems on whose lotus flowers sit meditating small Buddhas, each with leaf-shaped halo.  Back is plain.  Considerable gilding remaining on both back and front.
